The situation in the responsibility zone of the People’s Militia of the Lugansk People’s Republic keeps being tense.
Over the past day, there was registered one ceasefire violation by the enemy. Our units’ positions near Sokolniki locality were attacked. IFV arms and automatic grenade launchers were applied for shelling.
The AFU soldiers continue planting mines in civil-populated localities. For instance, the OSCE Missions’ representatives detected five trip-wire land mines, planted by Ukrainian military in Zolotoyelocality. It is worth reminding that a woman has tripped a wire in this locality a week ago.
The OSCE SMM observers detected three units of MRLS Grad near Izhevka locality, in Popasnaya locality there was detected AFU personnel, accommodated in residential houses, and two IFVs were detected nearby.
In addition, near the monument to Prince Igor, southwards of Stanitsa Luganskaya village, observers detected new tail stabilizers of one 120mm and four 82mm shells, stuck in the asphalt road.
Our intelligence established that on 17.04.2017, in the 14th brigade’s responsibility zone, Colonel Nikolay Kuklyuk, the chief of the ‘ATO’ headquarters’ rear, was working with the commission on the investigation into the theft of rear property and fuel products in one of the brigade’s units. In addition to that, he was involved in conducting an inquiry into the facts of non-combat losses in the 1st battalion, where, as a result of alcohol intoxication and careless handling of weapons, one soldier was killed in an explosive device blast.
At that, one of the national guard’s units arrived at the responsibility zone of the 14th brigade to augment their positions near Stanitsa Luganskaya locality.
In turn, the People's Militia units continue holding the planned improvement of the professional level of personnel and preparation for fulfilment of tasks on ensuring security of the Republic’s people.
The LPR People’s Militia units strictly observe the ‘silence regime’ introduced on April 1 and do not react to the AFU provocations.

1.Yesterday you said that the Ukrainian party had recorded the shelling of Stanitsa Luganskaya from the Knyaz Igor monument direction. Does the OSCE Mission confirm this bombardment in its report?
There was no shelling, as confirmed by the OSCE Mission, it exists only in the Ukrainian command’s sick imagination.
2. What is the current situation on the site near Zolotoye locality where the disengagement of forces and facilities took place? Earlier it was stated that Ukrainian forces attempted to advance positions to the ‘grey zone’ territory. What is the situation in the area at the moment?
The situation has relatively stabilized in this area, thanks to joint efforts of the JCCC and the OSCE Mission’s representatives.
3. Are the People’s Militia units exercising mine-clearing activities?
Scheduled works are being carried out as previously, but their volume was slightly reduced because of the engineering units’ trainings.
